Well, I don't actually plan on it, but my goal is to play golf in all 50 states. As a pilot I have already gotten over half of them done over the years. That entirely depends on if there is enough sunlight at the end of day. Also depends if they have rental clubs available. I think North and South Dakota will be my toughest as I am not scheduled to go there that often. But will keep trying.

I have played in Oregon, Colorado, California, Florida, north and south Carolina, mostly in Ohio. I have always wanted to play in the home of golf at pinehurst. I have watched tournaments and the courses look challenging but enjoyable.

Great choice. You can spend a week there and play five different courses. There are four courses on the resort: The Ocean Course, Turtle Point, Osprey Point and Cougar Point. The fifth course, Oak Point is off the resort on Main Road and is worth playing as well. If you go, have lunch at the Stono Market and Tomato Shed Café, 842 Main Rd, Johns Island, SC 29455. That is the main road the goes to the resort. You will not be disappointed. Have played all these courses and of course the Ocean Course is my favorite. Being a veteran they have special rates if you are a member of PGAHope. You must notify them when you book your reservations, have a PGAHope card and present it when you play.
