Maybe this has already been covered on the TT Forum. One of the great things about golf is the time you spend with friends in the grill room after the round. What was the best or most interesting meal you've ever had in a golf course grill room? Hog Neck golf course outside of Easton, Maryland (Talbot County) had a great pulled pork sandwich that I recall was actually smoked by the lady who managed the grill. She served it with her own homemade potato salad. She was quite a character too. It was southern hospitality at its best. I also had an excellent cheese steak at Aronimink Golf Club outside of Philadelphia. You could tell the sandwich was carefully prepared by a chef, not some guy slinging meat on a grill. The grill room was beautifully appointed, and it spilled out on to a great stone patio.

I normally don’t like a heavy breakfast before golf but I always make an exception for the Marionberry pankcakes at Pacific Dunes!

I’ve played over 200 different courses, I always arrive early to sample the food delights before and nine times out of ten after my round haha
What can I say I love my food!!
I can’t think of any that stand out as the best, I know the half way house on the Kings course Gleneagles was by far the dearest haha

I'm pretty much a cheese burger guy. Med well, onions, lettuce, tomato, mayo, and I'm good to go. Ice cold Bud in a bottle!!! Plain, simple, just like me!!

The Taplow Pub at PGA Golf Club makes a mean Ruben sandwich. For those that don't know, it's corned beef and sauerkraut with melted swiss cheese. Comes with a side of fries. Also their burgers are the best around. As a nice touch, they brand the top of the bun with the PGA of America logo.

There used to be a course called El Dorado, now The Golf Club of Houston that had the best Nacho's I've ever had. The new course is nicer but I miss those nachos.

Any time I have time for the 19th hole, a turkey BLT is my go to sandwich with some fries and a Shirley temple AND maybe a cocktail. Can't wait for the season to start

I always get trail mix and if I eat its after the round, usually a hot dog or grilled chicken sandwich. Nothing...and I mean nothing is worse than being miles from a comfortable bathroom if something you ate doesn't agree with you.

Well, no matter what your preference, it sure tastes better when you're looking out over a golf course. And Dale, those pancakes look fantastic! But then again, It's Pacific Dunes. Hahahaha!

When I was in college, I was a bartender at what was then called Oak Tree Golf Club, in Edmond Ok (host of the 1987 PGA Championship). It's since been renamed Oak Tree National. One of the best things we had on the menu was called a "Hot Turkey Sandwich." I can't tell you how many guys devoured that, and it was a simple sandwich- toasted bread (not a bun) with grilled turkey, grilled onions, melted swiss, and this mayo that was blended with chopped up jalepenos. The chef would take a jar of japs/ juice and add it to a vat of mayo. Blend it all up together, and voila- a GREAT sandwich.

Being a foodie I've eaten too much after a round of golf. I guess that I'm partial to Pebble Beach. The Bench has very good food such as various types of flatbread, Spicy chicken sandwich or the 1/2 lb. Bench burger. I almost forgot about the Dungeness crab pappardelle pasta. Also it's great sitting outside at The Bench overlooking the 18th. The Tap Room has a really good Porterhouse steak, Kobe burger with truffle wedge fries, prime rib chili with cornbread and a huge chocolate sundae or coconut cake. Sticks at Spanish Bay has really good blacken fish tacos and I always get a side of tater tots.

I'm liking the regional differences. I never thought of a taco as grill room fare. But...California! And beaureed, I have had hot turkey sandwiches in diners in Pennsylvania, but none as tasty sounding as the one you described in OK.

Best meal - Breakfast Burrito at We-Ko-Pa

Most interesting - Waldhaus Pub at Banff Springs sits right next to the 15th tee box. You have to hike up or drive up an elevation change of I'm guessing 100+ feet. At the top is a restaurant/pub where you can grab something to eat quickly or order ahead, but most importantly a spot to grab a drink after that trip up there. The Poutine was good.
