PGA TOUR | Sanderson Farms Championship

Titleist was the overwhelming choice of players at the Country Club of Jackson, where PGA TOUR rookies and Titleist Brand Ambassadors Cameron Young (T2) and Hayden Buckley (T4), along with Pro V1 loyalist Sahith Theegala (T8), earned the best finishes of their only two-events-old TOUR careers.

• A total of 104 players (72%) teed up a Titleist Pro V1, Pro V1x or Pro V1x Left Dash golf ball, more than six times the nearest competitor (16/11%);
• Titleist was the most played driver (44 players), with Titleist TSi3 being the most played driver model at the event (32).
• Titleist was the #1 hybrid at the event, with TSi2 being the most played model.
• Titleist irons were in the bags of 41 players – with T100 models being the field favorites – compared to 22 for the nearest competitor;
• There were more Vokey Design gap, sand and lob wedges in play at the Sanderson Farms Championship than all other brands combined.
• More players trusted a Scotty Cameron putter than any other brand.

NEW T100, T200 IRONS ARE TOP CHOICE

• For the second straight week to start the 2021-22 season, NEW Titleist T100 irons were the most played iron model on the PGA TOUR, and NEW T200 (Utility Build) models were the most popular utility iron.
• The longstanding No. 1 iron on TOUR, Titleist was the overall most played iron brand in Mississippi with 41 (29%) players, while more than half of the utility irons in play (55%) were Titleist.

CAMERON YOUNG ADDS TSi 7-WOOD, T200 4-iron

• Prior to the start of the new season, Cameron Young visited the Titleist Performance Institute to dial-in the gaps at the long end of his set, having recently replaced his T100 3-iron with a TSi2 21.0° fairway wood at the Korn Ferry Tour Championship.
• As a result, in working with Titleist’s Director of Players Promotions J.J. Van Wezenbeeck, Young moved from a 5-wood (TSi3 18.0°) to a 4-wood (TSi3 16.5°) and replaced his T100 4-iron with a T200 (Utility Build) (Utility Build) 4-iron.
• Said Van Wezenbeeck: “Cameron loved the height that the TSi2 7-wood gave him, but it created a gapping issue with his TSi3 5-wood. Prior to adding the 7-wood, he had gone driver, 5-wood, 3-iron.
• We replaced the 5-wood with a TSi3 4-wood, and then moved him from a T100 4-iron to the T200 utility model, which gave him the extra height and distance he needed there.”

LPGA | ShopRite LPGA Classic

Playing a Pro V1 golf ball, Celine Boutier birdied six of her first 9 holes – and two of her last three, including the par-5 18th – on her way to a closing 8-under 63 and a one-shot victory Sunday in New Jersey.

• It was the second LPGA title for Boutier, who made 15 birdies and just one bogey over the 54 holes to hold off several of the world’s best top-ranked players – including Jin Young Ko (Pro V1) and Brooke Henderson (Pro V1), who tied for second.

JAPAN TOUR | Vantelin Tokai Classic

Chan Kim (Pro V1x) closed in 2-under 69 to claim the sixth victory of his six-year career on Japan Tour.

• With the win, Kim, who also won the event’s driving contest with a 333-yard drive, moved to the top of the Japan Tour money list.
• Kim, who received a five-year exemption on Japan Tour with his victory at the 2019 Japan Open, had planned to attend this year’s Korn Ferry Tour Q-School, but was unable to compete due to COVID-related travel restrictions.

MACKENZIE TOUR – PGA TOUR CANADA | Reliance Properties DCBank Open

The winner of the Reliance Properties DCBank Open (Pro V1) posted a one-shot victory to earn his 2022 PGA TOUR Canada membership.

• He was one of four Titleist golf ball players to finish in the Top 5 on the final points list and earn status for next season.

SUNSHINE TOUR | Vodacom Origins of Golf - Humewood

Titleist Brand Ambassador Daniel Greene secured his first Sunshine Tour title with a playoff-victory over fellow Brand Ambassador Tristen Strydom.

AMATEUR | U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship

The winner of the U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship played four Vokey Design SM8 wedges and a Scotty Cameron putter to win his second U.S. Mid-Am title in five years.

• The three-time Walker Cupper claimed a 2-and-1 victory in the 36-hole final match at Sankaty Head Golf Club on Nantucket.
• The runner-up played a Pro V1 Left Dot golf ball, TSi3 8.0° driver, TSi2 13.5° fairway and three Vokey Design SM8 wedges.

TITLEIST IS TOP CHOICE AT MID-AM

• At the 2021 U.S. Mid-Amateur, more players trusted their performance to Titleist than any other brand.
• Of the 264 players competing at the Country Club of Detroit, Titleist was the top choice in golf balls, hybrids, utility iron, irons, and wedges
• A total of 221 players teed up either a Titleist Pro V1, Pro V1x, Pro V1x Left Dash or Pro V1 Left Dot golf ball, more than nine times the nearest competitor (24);
• The most played driver model at the U.S. Mid-Am was the Titleist TSi3 (47 players), 20 more than the nearest competitive model.
• There were more than two times as many Titleist hybrids (51 players) and utility irons (51) in play than the nearest competitor.
• Titleist irons were in the bags of 82 players – with T100 models as the field favorites – double the nearest competitor.
• There were 481 Vokey Design gap, sand and lob wedges in play, more than five times the nearest competitor (84). 

AMATEUR | U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship

The winner of the U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship – playing a Pro V1 golf ball, TSi2 driver, T200 irons, Vokey Design wedges and Scotty Cameron Futura X5R putter – won six consecutive holes from Nos. 7-12 en route to a 5-and-4 victory in the final match at Berkeley Hall Club’ North Course.

• At 25 years, 10 months and 20 days, the former University of Tennessee golfer became the third-youngest champion in tournament history.
• The victory also earned her an exemption into the 2022 U.S. Women’s Open.
