Chris,
Glad to hear you were able to get away from Ole Man Winter and warm up. Your pics are great and sure beat looking out the window at snow covered ground, although ours is starting to slowly melt away. The courses both look awesome!

You have officially made every golfer in the northeast and midwest jealous. Spring can not come soon enough! Thanks for the pics.
Take care,

You are one lucky guy. Both of those courses are on my must play list next time I make a trip to Florida.

Thanks for sharing and great pics! Loved the course mascot sunning by the water! I am thinking that right about now in NE, snakes, gators and hurricanes are better than the 4 plus feet of snow here!
Have read a lot about Streamsong and is in the bucket list for sure.
Safe travels and enjoy those rounds!

Wow. What a great way to get your first two rounds of the year in! Those are two beautiful courses. I'm going to need to find time to get to Florida and play Streamsong. I have only heard great things about it and it seems like everyone thinks it's worth the price.

Streamsong is a really interesting place. The golf courses (including at least one more to be opened) are part of a reclamation project by the Mosaic Company, which mines and produces phosphates. Many of the massive dunes on the property are the result of their previous activity.
Both golf courses are grabbing quick acclaim. They're booked solid (aided, of course, by the 288-room hotel on the property).
Mosaic wanted to create the Bandon Dunes of the east coast, and they might well have done it.

WOW! Amazing pics. Thanks for sharing, Chris.
We're staring April in the face on the calendar but outside my window it still looks like January! This helped take me away for a few minutes.

I've played Streamsong Red with a caddy and it was a great experience. My caddy took out much of the thinking and I was just able to play and enjoy the round. It's up there in price for sure but it was worth it for the experience. Blue is next when I make it back. Check out the megladon (shark) jaw set in the hotel. It was found when the property was being mined, pretty cool.

They are BOTH fantastic tracks. I lived 5 minutes from World Woods for 10 years, and would recommend the Pine Barrens course as well. As if it can get better, check out Orange County National in Orlando. Best greens I've played since Bay Hill the day after the tournament......

Looks like a pair of amazing tracks! Thanks for sharing

Down in Florida and had the privelage of playing Streamsong Blue course and Lake Nona back to back.. All i can say is i'm truly blessed to play this game. Haven't played in a few months so my game was definitely rusty but boy did I have a blast playing these 2 gems. Streamsong was my first time playing and Lake Nona was my 2nd time (a good friend of mine works there and will probably make this an annual event when I visit FL). Streamsong, I'm speechless. I did not hear about this course until Mike D. mentioned it a few months back and recommended it. Mind you this course is literally in middle of no where.. Between the layout and the scenery it's absolutely one of the most beautiful courses I've ever played. There are 2 courses; red and blue and heard from one of the rangers a 3rd is being built and will be ready by 2017. I HIGHLY recommend playing this course especially if you're a fan of link style courses.. And the clubhouse, wow... Pros: You will not be bored with this course. Each hole is different and so much fun to play. And the pace of play was perfect! Cons: No carts & price. You can either carry your bag, get a push cart or get a caddie. Price was $225 but to me, it was WELL WORTH IT. A few pics: Clubhouse Practice Facility is pretty sweet The course: A few pics of Lake Nona.. My buddy works there so it's a real treat to play there. While i was at the range, LH was hitting a few balls next to me and on the OTHER side of the range I was watching the newest Titleist member Poulter hitting some bombs.. Fun to watch.. My buddy ripping one down the middle.. 18th hole Lake Nona.. Even though I didn't play well those 2 days, i still had the best time playing golf... Still in FL and hoping to get a out a few more times before i head home... Cheers.

Hey Steve,
I've never stayed at the resort, just played that one round and headed up to Orlando to meet a friend. From what i saw, the resort looks BEAUTIFUL and I've heard good things about it. Definitely a relaxing resort from what i can tell.
This place is in the middle of no where so there's no need to leave the resort if you stay there. Plus, 36 holes will take up most of your day :)
Enjoy your round and hope you like the course as much as I did.

I'm playing Red on Saturday and coming back for Blue on Sunday. I decided to NOT stay on site. Instead, i'll drive 30 minutes from Bartow on Sunday morning. Besides, that savings pays for my Sunday round!!!!

Sounds really awesome. Thanks for the post and the pictures. I'm going to Florida next year and it looks like I need to put this on my list. I was out at Bandon Dunes in August and they are links courses. Definitely a different kind of game needed but also a lot of fun. My scoring wasn't great but it's fun to try and play different shots. There must be something to courses being built "in the middle of nowhere" because Bandon is unbelievable and it sounds like Streamsong is as well.
