I was fortunate enough to get tickets for the 2015 Masters par three contest.  Does anyone know whether players will be practicing on the main course or will everyone be playing the par three contest?  What time does the contest start?  I believe gates open at 8AM.  I am very excited to visit Augusta National.

Hi Matthew - Congrats on the Wednesday tickets.  At the Masters, the players are allowed on the playing grounds in the morning on the Par 3 Tournament Day only.  The course closes in the afternoon.  I would recommend getting there very very early to see the main course.  More importantly, you should be able to claim your spot over on the Par 3 course for best viewing.  The patrons are very respectful and the tradition is that once you claim a place, it is yours for the day - if you bring a fold up chair, place it down and no one will touch it.

The Par 3 Tourney is a lot of fun to see.  The players are very loose and typically have their family members caddy for them in the event.  The course is as immaculate as the main course...

Another suggestion about the early morning practice round - do not spend a lot of time early on at the practice range.  The players will be there later and you will want to see them playing the actual course.

Bring your camera as pictures are allowed on Wednesday!

    Have a great time!

Todd --  Thanks for the information.  This is exactly what I needed to know.  It sounds like we can watch players on the main course in the AM and compete in the par three contest in the afternoon
