I guess it depends on the time of year. I've played in Vegas (and the surrounding area) and had a great time. Make your way to Mesquite, NV and you'll find more courses to enjoy...plus you get out of the hustle and bustle of the city. As for pictures, only the OP can post pictures on the first post. If you want to see pictures, I would direct you to the private TT group page on FB.

    Alex,

To me, its all depends on you. Do you love the game, how much time you have, where are you staying, what kind of golf do you like to play.

Vegas is awesome for golfers. There are numerous courses from Executive par 3/short courses, to high end Championship courses such as TPCs. Rio Secco, There are courses that are designed by such greats as Nicklaus and others.

One of my favorites is Desert Pines (Pete Dye) right in Downtown Vegas. A short drive will take you to Towns like Boulder City or Mesquite where they have good courses too. Summerlin has Angel Park and TPCs.

However, you must able to have an open mind to play any course. Vegas is short on water so some course have narrow fairways with sand/scrub brush running along sides of holes. You must be fairly accurate. I like to call it target golf. If you hit it there you have to consider do you really want to scratch your clubs up.

Which brings to mind another question, are you bringing your prize Titleist clubs or are you going to rent. Luckily for me is that I have family there so I have a set there. Its an older set 714 AP1s, but it does the trick for the time I spend there.

Next is time of year when are you going? If you go now its fairly cool (cold for guys like me when I'm use to 80*). If you go in summer, it gets mighty hot so an early tee time is prime (so is the cost).

But like I said, how much do you love golf, because all of what I mentioned above doesn't matter. When you go golfing its better than spending a day in the office or cleaning the yard.

Alex, I'm play at the end March TPC Las Vegas, Rio Secco (Troon) and Bali Hai. Never played any of them but looking forward to it. My home club, Fieldstone in DE is Troon managed so Rio Secco came highly recommended from members and I know others that have played TPC. If you'd like I can post a couple of photo's and give you my feedback on each one.
