It was a Sunday finish for the books, this past weekend at the AT&T Pro-Am, in true Pebble Beach fashion.
Making tournament history after making birdie on the 16th and 17th in the final round (the first player to do so AND win the event since 1997), Brand Ambassador Tom Hoge went on to earn his first PGA Tour victory.
Hoge, who plays Pro V1 Left Dot, averaged just under 13 feet in his final round on approach shots from 50-125 yards, in addition to hitting his last 10 greens in regulation.
“The biggest shot I would say was on Sunday on 14. I think that’s the hardest wedge shot on tour – the wind is blowing hard, we were only 115-120 but playing somewhere in the area of 135. For me, that was right in between my pitching wedge and 9-iron… I went with the pitching wedge but I really needed to flight it well,” said Hoge. “And that’s where golf ball and everything come into play so big, I was able to hit a nice shot that didn’t spin up into the wind, nice penetrating ball flight into the wind. I got up there and hit my number exactly, and that was the key shot (in my win).”

Also in the bag is Tom’s trusted TSi3 driver, which he used to gain over three strokes from tee-to-green at Pebble.
“I’ve always loved the classic look of Titleist drivers and the performance speaks for itself. The biggest thing is you see how many guys are playing them right now on tour, and also with free agents playing a Titleist…so I definitely know I’ve got one of the best in my hands,” said Hoge.
