    Totally agree Jim. The first few weeks were easy as our weather was pretty bad but the last week of warm sunshine is making it even harder to stay away. Living next to the Hole #1 Tee Box and watching the mowers keep the course in shape is kind of like quitting smoking if you live next to the Marlboro factory or quitting drinking when you live next to the Jack Daniels distillery. I take my golf habit seriously and didn't give it up by choice. Better days ahead! Stay safe.

    Hang tough! The course will be waiting for you! We are lucky to be able to play in Ohio! Now if the weather would cooperate!

    This year the weather has been terrible along the Ohio River. Only playing twice a week due to weather. My course has been flooded and soggy all year so far. Hopefully the weather gets better.

    The course I play had pine trees lining the fairways, all of them have died and they're cutting them down which makes the course harder to play with nothing framing the fairway.

    I know the feeling, Michigan's stay at home has been extended until May 15th.
    The golf courses, however, are reopened since the governor has relaxed the rules, I can't play yet anyways since my back doctor visit has been pushed to May 14th, I am hoping to get cleared to go back to play then.

    Looks like courses in San Diego County are going to give it a go tomorrow...
    I'll most likely watch from the sidelines a bit before heading out to play.
    I want to see how everything goes for a bit...will there be a mass rush to play and chaos???
    Really hoping our golf courses don't look like those beaches in the OC did the other day!

    Ventura county, Riverside, and Orange county here in Southern CA have courses open, but not L.A. county where I'm in.

    I'm also waiting to see what experiences others will be taking from this.

    So far, what I've heard from friends are:

    Strick distancing rules
    Mandatory mask on
    Restrooms unavailable throughout
    No drinking water available
    15 minutes tee time interval
    No waiting by the tee in front of players you're following
    No touching of the flag stick
    Some courses are walking only- others are one person per cart
    On courses with one person per cart, when carts are all used- no more tee times
    Food & bev to go only
    ...etc. and I may have missed many others.
    Oh, and a much higher greens fee like what used to be 80/90 weekday/weekend are now 140/160 (not all courses had their price hike like this but the good courses are and the rest were moderately increased like 60 and now 80.

    All of these aren't helping me jump out to get a tee time. I think I'll wait.

    i just got an email from san diego county saying the courses are opening May 1 i believe. facial covering on course not required only around pro shop. walking only.

    Much the same in New York. The courses were closed, then open, then closed, now open again. Hopefully this time for good.
    Restrictions pretty much the same. Haven’t seen the price hikes but usually play the same few courses.

    At long last our Governor has opened golf courses - have tee times for Friday, Saturday and Sunday!

    Okay...way to ease into the season! 18 holes 3 days consecutive days? Are there the new "normal" restrictions (no rakes/altered pin/no riding etc.)? Have fun but be safe.

    No rakes, no pins and no carts at the moment. I walk and carry 95% of the time, so no cart rule doesn't affect me but I suspect the Governor will get push back on this one as it essentially excludes older/physically unable to walk golfers.

    Also, clubhouse, locker room, pro shops remain closed at the moment as do practice ranges/greens.

    Just happy to play!

    Me, too. I plan on golfing in the southwestern parts of NC and VA. I made a collage of my fashion inspo since I am a new golfer and have to buy all new gear.

    i remember there was a week bout a month ago when the whole world was completely shut down, i cleaned my grips twice in a week because i forgot i had already cleaned it haha.

    It is still a bit chilly here in Virginia. With social distancing rules in place, our courses have mostly been open for limited play. Golfers were driving down from Pennsylvania and Maryland to come tee it up, making for a fair amount to competition for the fewer available tee times. The region is re-opening, but cautiously.

    You might find the embedded article of some interest, but it is the torrid debate in the "comments" section that is the real eye-opener. Lot's of misinformation about our sport out there in the world.

    Chuck I have been playing since March we have bumpers at each hole so we don’t touch the pin and if riding everyone gets there own cart. Practicing social distancing

    Here in Vegas we started back last week.
    Same as most of you ,no rakes, no touching flag sticks, cups are 2" above ground, one person to a cart unless address on DL matches. Greens fees are normal prices I've played twice paid $52.50 & $25.00. From what I have heard around town is that most courses are in great shape except the bunkers of course.....madgolfer hitemstraight
