Aloha folks! Late post as we had visitors Saturday night until Monday! We had 6 players and 3 no shows at Woodbridge! We had 3 new people join us (one came up from Waco) and 2 other returnees along with myself! It was a balmy...no, chilly...nope, damn cold day! It did warm up a bit and the wind died down after about 10 holes. Passed out some TT swag (huge mahalo to Team Titleist for their support) and we were on our way.
Jesse won CP (after my group failed to hit the green I set the stake up about a foot from the flag to mess with them)! Keith won LD. As for skins, everyone got a skin except for one person but the big winner was Brent. The undercover hero shooting a stout 2 over and 5 skins his first time out at Woodbridge! Sorry there aren't many photos, it was to cold to take my nitrile gloves and weather gloves off and on! Hey, this boys from Hawaii and when it's below 65° I'm doin whatever I can to stay warm! LoL
Pace of play was a little slow as we were waiting for the group in front of us but we managed to finish in four hours and 30 minutes. My group hit our tee and approach shots on the short par four 17th hole and I waived up the group behind us. We then finished the hole and waited for them to finish also. We all went to the 18th hole and played it together, some better than others! Jesse drained his putt from about 25 ft to save par. I drain my putt from about 10ft. Larry drained his putt from about 8 ft. Brent drained his from about 4 ft. Keith (edge burner) Nix almost drained his but you can tell what happened and Tony just picked up for par as he said, this holes already null with multiple pars! It was a great day with good people, no work, no honey dos etc!
I'm working on getting things lined up for next year. I'll be hosting about 5 or 6 including one big event and we'll call it the 1st Annual Team Titleist North Texas Invitaional! I'll be working with Keith on getting it all squared away! Hope next year we can increase our numbers up here in North Texas! Until then hope may your fairways be wide and greens true!
