  1. Recently bought a push cart and my Players 5 carry bag sits just OK on it because of the stand legs. Has anyone removed the legs of the carry bag so it sits better on a push cart? Was removing the legs difficult? How about re-installing them - any trouble?

As you can see in the picture, the bag does not rest against the push cart as the stand legs interfere. Wondering if it's worth the trouble to remove them.

Having the flexibility to carry or push, or to just stand the bag up at the range is something I would not give up by taking off the legs.
My tour stand bag works just fine on my Clickgear cart.
  3. Thanks for the replies. Never thought about using the bag at the range - that's a great point. And thanks for sharing your experience with removing the legs from another bag. I love my Titleist bag and I don't want to cause any unnecessary damage to it.

I removed the legs from an old stand bag some years ago. It wasn't a Titleist bag, so I don't know what might happen that could be different, but to make a long story short, I really messed up the bag. All I tried to do was remove the rivets that held the leg apparatus on the bag, but apparently I offended the gods of all stand bags. Somehow, I damaged some internal supports and around the rivet holes, the fabric started to unravel pretty much right away.

While it might not be pretty, what would happen if you turned the bag sideways or reversed it so it laid against the cart frame? Most push/pull carts have space for tees and balls, so if you could arrange it so you could get to your mbrella or rain suit in enough of a hurry, it might work better than ruining the bag.

I noticed this with my stand bags too. Staff Stand Bag and Players 4up. Instead of trying to remove legs, I modified the cart. I got a "pool noodle" and cut pieces off, put a slice down them and put it over the supports on the cart and used a some small wire ties to hold the pieces in place. Now the leg supports rest on the noodle material (polystyrene foam) and they don't flop around like they used to without them. You might be able to slide them onto the legs of the bag instead and get the same result, and have them loose enough that when you are not using the cart, slip them off. Just a suggestion that worked for me.
  6. I had the same problem, then picked up the Clicgear cozy pads for stand bags. No longer slips, plus your stand bag will still stand after.

I wouldn't do it, I took my legs and all corresponding articles for the legs and it really weekend the bag. DON'T DO IT.
