Yea same with me, but golf is golf lol

I’ve played two 9 hole rounds so far in Metro Detroit. Greens were in pretty bad shape. New clubs are working, just need to get used to them.

Am fortunate to be able to play most of the year round. Play three to four days a week, but we do have a couple of weeks when it is too cold to play. If the course is closed it is because of rain more days than cold weather. Do not spend a lot of time at the range other than maybe thirty minutes prior to play days. One of the main reasons we live in the low country of South Carolina.

One of the main reasons we live in the low country of South Carolina. And at my age, 72, have hit a lot of balls and too many aches and pains to bang a lot of balls. If I go to the range, I go to see a pro to work on a specific problem. One of the teaching pros normally plays with me one to two days a week. On course observation really helps, then I can take it to the range for a quick fix afterwards but most times we get it fixed on the course. Guess being retired has it's benefits.

Best thing about moving to San Diego 5 years ago is the year-round golf.

Here in the UK, while the weather has been kind this week, green staff have been extraordinarily busy and many courses have hollow tyned and other treatments on greens. The work is scheduled, necessary and clearly beneficial in the long and medium term. However, it rather messes up the early outings of the season!!
