Since we just received a Major dumping of snow here in Vermont, I was curious as to how far off is the first Major tournament of the year.

The Masters, my favorite tournament. Followed closely by The Open!

Love watching the Master's my favorite tournament for the history and beauty of the course. Only tournament I watch every day. I use the big TV for this one! :)

The countdown is on, for sure. Can't wait to go for the Wednesday practice round. I went to the Monday practice round in 2011 and it was nothing short of an amazing experience.
  8. Rich T,
Did you know that Rich T (well, Rich Tea, but the pronunciation is the same) is one of the UK's most popular biscuits?
Makes a great nom de plume!

Also my favorite major. I don't miss a minute. Even stay up and watch the replays. The music alone gives me goosebumps!! C'mon April!!

Definitely a life goal is to make it to Augusta National. Just to see the magnolias and knowing the history. I will keep trying!

This is the only golf tournament that my mother will watch from beginning to end, just to see the azaleas. She loves them so.

I use to do the lottery for tickets every year and never once got even a practice round ticket purchase. Maybe one day... til then, 4K TV and soon 8K.

I've put in every year since '08. I got that "magical" email last summer letting me know that I had the opportunity to buy tickets for Tuesday in 2019. To say that I was excited was an understatement. I'm REALLY looking forward to that trip in April.

What's the easiest way for a first timer to get there? I enter the lottery every year and have never gotten anything. Is there a way I can increase my chances or a good place to pay a premium to get in?

I've read that they're REALLY cracking down on reselling of tickets. But they are out there for sale.....just have to dig to find them, and be prepared to pay a premium.
  22. Panoramic of my Augusta National/Masters room. Yeah, you can say I like that tournament.

I'll be onsite Wednesday for the first time ever, i'm beyond excited at this point. Does anyone have an experience on the camera policy for the practice rounds, I know that phones are banned, but I was looking to bring a pretty large pro lens on my DSLR camera. Any issues that I should know about going into it?

    Thanks

According to the Masters policy sheet, regular point and shoot cameras are allowed during practice rounds only. No video either.

No problem for your camera on Wednesday - that's how my hubby shot that picture of me on the 6th tee of the Par 3 course. He was sitting by the green. But, on Thursday morning, they will make you check it if you forget and bring it.
  26. The master is my all time favorite tournament and every year it gets cold I will pull out the DVD and watch the replay of one of the Masters my favorite one of all will always be 2005 when Tiger chipped in, can't wait to see what happens this year.

My father and I enter the drawing each year, and this year he was selected for Tuesday practice rounds. Myself, my father, grandfather and uncle are going to step foot on the grounds for the first time this year! Extremely excited!!!

I would say the Masters is my favorite. I would love to go there someday.
  30. The Masters is my favorite major, and I hope that some day I am able to attend one of the days. I had the opportunity to work the '96 U.S Open and that was an incredible experience.
