Dennis is a golfing legend and a true ambassador of the game. He was also recently honored this year at the U.S. Open with the USGA’s prestigious Bob Jones Award (more on that here) and the performances he's given over the course of his 41-year career are a combination of artistry, skill, fun and inspiration.
How did this journey start for Dennis?
As a young man, Dennis chased a dream to play on the PGA Tour. Sadly, that dream ended abruptly when he was involved in a golf cart accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down. It was a devastating blow, but golf would provide an answer.
Hitting golf shots began as therapy for Dennis, but it evolved into a new calling and a new dream that would showcase Dennis’ golf talent, his showmanship and his passion for helping others.
