I begin with a 45 minute stretch routine, then I putt to 4 different holes and conclude with chips to the same holes, all at home. I drive to the course and do a series of 4 additional stretches on the first tee and I am ready to go.

Exercise/stretch before a handful of warm-up shots on the range

I like to hit about 15-20 shots combined with 7 iron and couple with driver just to loosen up the back!

Then chip for few minutes, putt for couple of minutes, then hit the tee!

While I go from wedges to driver, after the driver I hip and putt. Before I go to the first tee I hit a few more drivers to get a positive vibe before the first tee.

I like to start the day with cardio. 20-30 minutes. Walking, biking, stair master combo. 60-90 mins machines and weights. 20-30 minutes stretching. Which is crucial. Shower. Eat. Apply suntan lotion. Pick out my FJ, Titleist and Cameron outfit combo. Hat. Check weather. Prepare accordingly. Fill filtered water bottle at home. Pack some food. Make sure I have all my supplies. Head to course.

Always start out with the orange whip and stretch more. Hit some balls to get loose. Start with putting. Then hit wedges, mid-irons, high irons, metals. Finish off with driver. Make sure all clubs are clean, towel is secure, Titleist balls in place. Tees, Laser GPS and ball marker. Cigar. Water. Fruit and snacks. Divot bottle filled. Joke around on the first tee, joke around the entire round, enjoy myself and play until dark.

Not until the sprinklers baptize me at the end of the day do I head home. Pour a shot and beer, get in my jacuzzi tub, stretch for another 30-45 minutes, watch the news on my ipad in tub. Towel off. Apply moisturizer, watch some golf or movie on my big screen in my favorite chair, have dinner another drink then sleep.

    Repeat.

I normally start with a sand wedge and work my way to a driver. Run a few putts on the practice green and I'm ready to go! #TeamTitleist

Gradually hit PW from 9 O’clock, 12 O’clock & full swing, solid contact. Same drill with 7,
    Hybrid, 3W & Driver.
Helps stretching, feel ready for less than full shots.

When there is time warm up exercises and hitting balls at the house then some distance putting on the putting green and some chips from different distances. If short on time just putting and chipping.

I start with some stretching at home and at the course head to the range. I hit 5-6 warm up shots. Slow, half swings working up to a full swing. Hit some shots with 5-7 iron, then 56 or 52 wedge, a couple of 3 woods then driver. Finish at the range with 60 degree wedge. Practice green chip and putt.

In addition to everyone’s else’s routines I like to do some pushups prior to the first tee. It really frees me up and loosens up so many muscles.

I typically do a combination of some of the choices listed. I definitely need to stretch a bit first, then I'll swing a couple long irons together before hitting balls. I like to start with 8 iron half swing/knock down shots and then I'll move onto wedges and go up from there. I need to make more time for putting and chipping in my warm up but I'm usually not at the course early enough (running late!).

stretch first, always... THEN depending on time and if there's a range I'll hit a very small bucket, I'll hit a few wedge, a few 7 irons and a few drivers.. Then putting green and chipping around...

I use to spend A LOT of time on the range whacking balls.. Now, less time on range and more time on chipping and putting.. Best advice I've gotten from a few good TPs.

The few shots are mostly wedges and mid irons. Putt a lot to get the feel and speed of the greens.
If I find the timing, tempo, and feel for the speed of the greens, makes for a great day.

  15. I start with stretching then work driver to wedges. I usually hit no more than 5 balls with the driver, then a 4 hybrid, then an 8 and finally two wedges, I only hit two full shots with one wedge then move to 5 of each wedge into a practice green and finally at least 10 long and short (5 foot) putts. Sounds like a lot but it is very quick.
  16. Sometimes depends on the course. I prefer to start chipping and putting, then go to the range. Start with 1/2-3/4 wedges, short irons, mid irons then woods. I like to end with 2 or 3 shots with whatever club I will hit off #1 tee.

I will do stretching and swing a couple of clubs to get loose. Then I'll chip a few balls & putt. I won't hit full shots on the range because if I see or feel something I like then I expect it on the course. I have always kept it simple and relaxed.
  18. I'll start with a Wedge on the range, then progress to my 7 and 5 irons. I'll move up once I've hit a couple consistent balls with each. Then, it's off to the putting green with a sleeve of Pro V1x's to get a feel of the greens. Last, at the tee box, I'll stretch and loosen up with my 3 wood. Ready for my round!

Hi everyone - As summer continues to roll on, I've been trying to hone in my game. However, I tend to stick to the same routine: Hit the range, a few chips in a practice area (not nearly enough) and roll some putts before I head to the tee.

What's your practice routine before you arrive at the first tee? We want to know with the quick poll below.

AND as a bonus, if you respond to the quick poll below, you'll be entered for a chance to win a Team Titleist Prize Pack!

HERE’S HOW TO ENTER - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: Make a selection in the quick poll.

    Good luck, all!

Always start with a warmup routine no matter if your buddies laugh at you then head to the range. Start there with wedges and work up through to the driver then head to the putting green before heading to the first tee.

I am not a range guy at all. I will try and stretch a bit to loosen up, then make a few putts to get the speed of the greens, then peg it.

Getting too old to waste any swings.....lol

Hope you find the right warm up routine for your game Abby.

    All the best,
    -Brian
