Well by the looks of it Speedy, it'll be a difficult venue but looks really fun. Looks like positioning your tee shot is going to be key. Those two Par 3's on the front do not look fun at all.

I'd make sure to practice some of your longer irons / hybrids. A lot of the length seems to be in the Par 5's, 3 out of 4 look like 3 shot Par 5's. Keep it in the short stuff and you'll do fine.

    Good Luck!

  2. Well hopefully it's par 72 with 4+ par fives because that can add yardage but makes scoring easier as the par 4's and 3's just come out to average length.

I don't know anyone who has 7,000 yards in their bag- good thing you don't have to play it all in one swing :-)
You'll do just fine Speedy. Like Higgs said, believe in yourself.
You may not be the longest hitter, but you keep the ball in play and you're good with your quiver of hybrids. Having no expectations (other than to have fun) is the right headspace to be in. Get there early, enjoy that amazing facility, and practice your putts and chips. If you can find the fairway and get up and down, you might be surprised how well you score.
Enjoy the GCNE- it's a heck of a track.

Golf is one shot a time & scoring is from 100yds and in. I would work on the scoring shots so you can keep the round in a good place. If it is long iron shots to the green keep in mind of possibly more roll out. I have found that people who hit long tee shots don't always have good approach shots, so play within yourself & play your game and I think you'll enjoy the round & challenge... Good luck

If you have a 4 iron, check with your pro about taking that out of the bag and getting a hybrid. Also, perfect excuse to get a fresh set of wedges so you will have fresh grooves for the tournament!

And I would research and get a green book for the course.....there has to be one out there.
