  1. With another age in the books, people normally celebrate birthdays in different ways. With the great location of the Bay Area, with proximity to Lake Tahoe, and the fair weather the majority of the year... it's either been a cabin trip up to Tahoe for some snow, or a few consecutive tee times so the group can get a round in together. A few of the members routinely book tee times to celebrate their birthday as well. How about you... do you treat yourself to that one special round? Buy some gear for yourself? How do you celebrate a birthday (golf related)?

Funny, we were just talking about my upcoming 60th in August and how it will be on a Wednesday. I don't want to travel mid-week and lose too much work time so we will likely play a local course. Maybe Torrey South, Aviara, or La Costa.
  3. A few years ago when I turned 50, my golf buddy turned 40 the same year. Our wives got together and surprised us with a golf package to Kohler, Wisconsin. 4 days, 3 nights and got to play all four courses. To this day we still talk about it.

I try to hit a course I would love to play within driving distance...I've played TPC River Highlands, TPC Myrtle Beach, and just recently Bethpage Black. The course is the best way to spend those dollars in my opinion.

I stopped counting my actual birthdays and began celebrating my Golf Birthday - the day I began playing golf. I'm currently 16 MONTHS old, and I celebrate each month by treating myself to new golf "stuff", whatever I need, or feel like will make me a better golfer - like a new shirt, lol. For my 2 yr. golf birthday coming up this summer, I'm planning another golf trip to Charleston, SC area, with some of my old college roommates!

My wife and I live in the Palm Springs, CA area. However, for three of the last four years, we have spent the summer months near Boone, NC. My birthday is in the end of July and my wife has gotten us lodging and tee times at Pinehurst for my birthday. We have had a great time and I clearly have been spoiled. A great way to welcome in another year.

For the past couple of years I've taken the day off and gone to play one of my favorite local courses that I don't normally get to play much during the rest of the season.

Hey Robert L, I have the big 60 coming up next month. I've dropped a few hints to the wife and both sons for a very Titleist Happy Birthday!

Every bday I tell my wife let me do the gifts... There's been too many times she buys the "other"stuff and ends up getting returned.. She likes looking for deals.. Yeah, with golf I go big or go home... I want the best for my game...

For Christmas, something in travel gear ("broke" tradition this year with a FJ shoe bag). My wedding day is one day post b-day. This year starting with a WSGA tournament at Blackwolf Run then around Lake Michigan to play some of the resort courses in upper Michigan. Early October is some of the best golf weather in the upper Midwest.
  11. It is the best way I know to celebrate! My wife and I go for a round at our usual course and then out to dinner after. I may buy a hat or something small in the pro shop. My May birthday came in October this year with the AP3's and 917's. I have no intention of abiding by the terms of my argument, but those terms indicate that these items covered my next 5 birthdays. My dear wife got 4 new pairs of shoes recently, which strengthened my next case (due in court on the release date of the SM7 coincidentally). Happy birthday and congrats on another year earned!

For my last couple of birthdays my wife has taken me to stay at Spanish Bay and also to renew my Dukes Club membership.

This July I will be 65, and play golf at Bulle Rock Golf in MD. Bulle Rock is a once year birthday outing with my foursome for the past six years.. I will retire at the end of the year and start 2019 with a new bag full of Titleist clubs! Driver thru wedges and a new Scotty. Should be a good year........

I would celebrate my birthday by doing something that I loved, spending time with my family. If it fell on a weekday, I would play golf or climb. One special birthday, I played the Pacific Grove course in Monterey, twice! It was sublime!
