Would like better consistency with fairway Woods / hybrids. Worked on visualization off the tee which helped greatly. After watching pros at northern trust spent time on posture while putting and it has been great.
  2. After knee-replacement surgery I'll be working on ball striking, especially with irons. Hoping to shallow out divots with all clubs.
  3. Playing within my abilities. I like the long drive which occasionally puts me between clubs on my shots Into the green. A killer

My handicap is going in the wrong direction because I can't get the ball close to the hole from 20 yard and in...my chipping has become my achilles heel...really need to find a place to work on that aspect to correct my problem

This is an easy one for me and I'll cast the first vote... putting. My focus right now is getting my average putts per a round down by a couple of shots and also doing a better job at keeping those three putts off the scorecard. What's everyone else working on? The fastest way to cut strokes from my score would be to improve my short putting. Improving my under five foot putting could cut 2-3 strokes per round.

My Driver has seemed to elude me this year. Working on getting the swing path inside out. Got myself in a rut of coming across and can't shake it. Think I'm close but here comes winter.

Short game from 50 yards and in as I am leaving a few strokes a round out there. Just gotta spend more time with this part of my game!

Short game for me and the short game includes putting. My chipping has caused a lot of extra unnecessary strokes. Leaving putts much longer than they should be places extra pressure on the putter. If your continually trying to save par or boggy from outside of 10 ft, your score will suffer. That needs to change.

Approach shots for sure. I'm either short of the green, or more often, I'm hitting the green and going off the back! Can't get shots to stick!

Short game used to be real good. Lost my confidence which produces quick and jerky strokes. Concentrating on picking a spot on the green and hitting it. Mental has a lot to do with this problem

Bottom line....I score well I play well off the tee box.

I need to work on being more consistent with my chipping in particular.

Just got the book Be a Player - A breakthrough approach to playing better ON the course and it's been a very interesting read so far. I've been stuck at an 8 all year and I know it's the 6 inches between my ears that's preventing me from getting better.
  14. Working on the short game green side and bunkers. Feeling much better about everything else after spending time with Dino at the Oceanside facility. Dino was fantastic and got me in a set of AP-3's, 917 D2, 917 fairways and an 818 ! Ordered Friday and can't wait to hit them.

    Short Game
Make or break you as it is the one part that requires the most control in the swing if you are looking to put it next to the pin.

My off season focus will be the short game. Primarily from 75 yards in. I now try to execute a variety of shots with all my wedges as well as my short irons.

Putting. If I leave the green in 2 or less, I will be scoring.

Oh boy! I just fixed my driving accuracy but now can't find the bottom of my swing. Normally a strength, I can't hit an iron.
I'll fix it. Then I'll lose my putting stroke. I love golf.

Always room for short game approval!

    Huddersfield,

I’m convinced I’d be a single figure golfer if I could chip. I can practice all day long without an problem but can’t take it to the course!
