Great question Mike D. I wish I could have voted for " all of the above". But it's true. There isn't one part of my game I Can't improve on. That is as honest as I can be. Thank God for Titleist equipment. If not for them, I would be in the 100s.

For me it's also all of the above. I can hit great shots, sink some great putts. Just not consistently.
But I think my biggest issue has to be around the green. To many options cloud the vision

Going to really work on two things and they go hand in hand. Short game needs lot's of work and putting. going to try to chip and pitch the ball closer to the hole so the putting will be so much easier. As winter is around the corner I will be confined to the BG&CC ( Basement Golf & Country Club ) for practice.

Name of the game is to lower your score...best way is short game. If you chips and pitch close you tap in...that simple.

It's all about 100 yards and in. G.I.R. or in some cases, my response, "GRRRR!" getting the ball of the time. fine. getting the ball on the green in regulation, not so fine. Also, another great stat, and I love stats, is something Dino at TPI told me about with my fitting. "It's not only about your G.I.R.'s, it's about your proximation to the hole." So, getting on the green is not as important as getting close to the hole. Therefore, get close enough that a two putt is the least you will walk away with. #PINHUNTING! #TeamTitleist! #MikeyD!

Hate to say it, but it is the six inches between my ears that is probably the biggest impediment to my game! Second to the obvious noggin fix, has to be my short game. This was once the strongest part of my game but has slipped with zero practice this year. I have been so busy that whenever I get a chance to be out on the golf course, it is playing. I used to spend a couple of hours a week in the short game practice area and now that is down to zero and it shows. At least I know what I have to do to fix the short game (put in the practice time); the mental game, now that's a different story all together!

Currently living in the Middle East so I am blessed by the fact the winter is the most suitable time to play. Also living in a hotel so I will be putting my CT to good use and practicing my stroke. Cheers

Short game for me. Chipping and still leaving long distances to the cup just piles onto my scores. I need to work on different techniques for different greens, my lob game for slick greens is terrible. Working on my game adds to my enjoyment of the sport.

    Most definetly ball striking
I have been working on my full swing, focusing on keeping a tight swing in plane, attempting to hit with a square club face, regardless of the club on my hands
It got much worse before it got any better.
Now that the season is ending
the cold arrive to Michigan, I will be working on my fitness and flexibility for next season, trying to get to the next season with a strong flexible back.

It's really a two Prong approach for me. Getting older I have lost a little distance over the years so I really started working hard on Tee shots. Have gained 30 yards with my 917 D2 which has sharpened my approach shots since I am hitting shorter irons in. I bought a new SC putter this year as well and my putts per hole avg. has came down as well. All together I am now consistently breaking 80 on my home course and time to time on other courses. Very pleased with how my Titleist equipment has helped me reach where I am now in my game.

I'm intending to work on my approach play - 100 yards and under, I don't consistently hit it's close enough to take advantage of my length off the tee and give myself more birdie chances/or make saves when I've hit a wayward tee shot!

Will try a do more putting work in general from next year too, not the ideal time of year to be practicing putting at my home club - slow and bobbly greens do not fill you with confidence of making putts!

PUTTING! It's literally half your score.
I'm really focusing on two things. #1- Hitting putts with the perfect speed. I want my putts to drop in the hole on the last revolution. I used to bang putts home, and while it takes the guess work out of it, I feel like that technique makes the hole smaller and can lead to some sketchy situations. Watching some pros and guys at the club who are good putters, I find most of them die the ball into the hole.
#2 making putts in a specific part of the cup. The track I play the most has some pretty ungluing greens, and if you're tracking on the low side, you can almost always expect a lip out. Trying to get the ball to fall in at 6 o'clock or 3 o'clock on right to left putts I feel will make me a better putter and win more matches.

My driving is so inconsistent that on a bad day I'll drop 10 strokes easily if not more because I cant find a fairway or even worse slicing o.b. off the tee. I'm also not a long hitter and don't try to crush the ball so that gets frustrating not being able to put it in play steadily. That's why I voted for driver

I am dedicating the off season to improving my short game. This past 18 months of the Army has taken a toll on my short game. So short game is going to get some well deserved attention!
  19. For me right now, driving the ball is something i'm really trying to improve on. But I think keeping your short game really sharp is important too. It can turn bad rounds into decent rounds, and decent rounds into good rounds. It also keeps your momentum going throughout the day.
  20. Lacking accuracy with my long irons puts constant pressure on my ability to get up and down to save par.
