Best wishes and stay safe to my fellow Florida TT members and whoever else may be in Irma's path ( Chuck, I know you're up there in SC. ) I know that everyone's well being is the most important thing, but hopefully Irma won't beat up the golf courses too bad and we'll be back out playing before long. God Bless!

Well, Irma decided to head up the West Coast of FL but caused plenty of havoc here on the East coast. Please keep the folks most affected by Irma in your thoughts and prayers. On a less important note, at first glance the property here at PGA Golf Club doesn't look bad but there are 3 courses here and it's hard to tell further out. Hopefully, we'll be up and rolling again by the end of the week.

The front page of the Madison, WI paper today had a headline about the Keys getting hit the hardest and a picture of a house falling into the ocean at Ponte Verde. That pretty much sums up the extent of the damage across the entire state. At some point life will return to "normal", and we'll find out how much flooding and wind damage affected the courses that are on the Tour. And the impact on the Invitational. Not sure if Saw Grass was hit with the surge.

Not sure how badly Irma has impacted TPC Sawgrass yet (we'll let you know as soon as we hear back) but I did come across this article on PGA.com that claims that the recent photos of the course are from last October, after Hurricane Matthew hit:

What an unfortunate disaster. Luckily for Chuck, he and his wife were in NorCal for a special occasion.

Actually my wife and I were not in the path. We live about two mile from the ocean, but we were on the west coast trying to get back home and by the time we got home (after one flight being cancelled and two delayed) around midnight on Monday night there was a light breeze and no rain at Charleston International. When we arrived home a few twigs in the yard. I would say we are very blessed. Have a hunch we are going to have a good time at the TT invite in a few weeks. It could have been worse for some of us and for others we are thinking of you. Golf is the last thing on our minds. Having survived Hugo, electricity, water, food and a place to stay were our only concerns. Our communities banded together and we made it.
