tried both velocity and NXT tour for the heck of it. pretty impressed with both!

both stops pretty fast (not as fast as my normal V1x) but good enough! i tested some tour balls like srixon z-star and in my opinion, the nxt tour n velocity stops faster than the z-satr! go figure!!

both are so much easier to launch and comes off the face fast. makes one feel kind of confident that no matter what - this ball is going ballistic!...

distance wise, practically about the same as when i use my V1x but maybe a tad longer with the velocity.

putting feel and around the greens is a bit firmer  than V1x but not by much. Firmest in order of velocity and nxt tour.

all in all i reckon you guys have outdone yourselves this time......i could find myself in danger of playing nxt tour or velocity in place of V1x...haha!

Hi Tom, I managed to get out on the weekend for a hit and tried the new NXT Tour S in high optic yellow. The golf ball felt like it came off the club head very fast and stopped well coming into the greens. Putting with the new NXT Tour S also felt good. Unfortunately the testing didn't last as long as I would have liked as a large water hazard appeared out of no where during my backswing, right where my ball landed. Definitely would recommend trying the NXT Tour S for those looking for a long golf ball with excellent scoring performance and a soft feel. I look forward to trying it again, hopefully for a little longer! Shaun M
  5. Hello!

I had the chance to do a quick test on the NXT TOUR S in optic yellow. I had 3 criterias I wanted to focus on:

Feel, Yellow Color? , and durability.

Feel: Yes, it is soft. Can't deny it. But it's not to say that older NXT Tour is a rock itself, but clearly comparing the 2 and the Nike Vapor (speed) I used sometimes, Tour S is clearly softer. Off the putter, I liked it. Maybe I was putting well that day :x.

Yellow Yellow Dirty Fellow: It was my first time using yellow balls, I wanted to know the hype about it. It was easy to follow in the air, that is true, looks good and nice, especially on the tee box for me (not sure why). As for when it goes OB or all over the place... I thought a white ball is easier to find in S'pore's roughs and leaves... Maybe have not programmed my eyes and mind to find 'yellow'... or I should shine the yellow up real nice. But yeah, I don't think I can go back to white color now. When I opened the box I was impressed. I like it, I am not turning back once my other balls stocks are used up.

Durability: To me, no issues. Feels maybe slightly more durable compared to white balls. But I have never really had issues with NXT Tour balls cutting up, compared to other brands.

Did not mention spin, or other points because need more time to explore as well as no expertise in that area. Initial feeling is it does have a slightly higher ball flight for me. Need more time to figure that out.

Overall, I am a person who won't really spend $60+ on ProVs, so I think I can get some good value and performance with NXT Tour S.. love the yellow... maybe will try the new NXT Tours too to make a comparison.

Tom, any idea if NXT Tours will be available in optic yellow anytime soon? I will be sold.

Titleist has not disappointed. Good job once again.

    Ben

    Hi Ben,

Thanks for the feedback, glad to hear you liked the balls. There are no immediate plans to introduce the NXT Tour in yellow, but thanks for the suggestion, I'll let you know if that changes. Cheers.

  7. What are the compression differences between the NXT vs. ProV1 x? It looks like we have a lot in common.... Titleist and names...

    Thanks John K,

Great to hear you liked the NXT Tour golf ball. You'll find you get great short game control because of the Fusablend cover, which gives it the best performance around the greens you can get from a non Urethane covered golf ball (Pro V1 or Pro V1x).

We hope it fairs well for you in future rounds. Feel free to give us more feedback or let me know if you have any questions. Cheers.
