Would this highly skilled group most likely use longer or shorter iron lengths

ive played any where from +.25 To .5" recently been testing 712mbs, and  hitting just the demo off the wall s300 irons in the mb the impact tape was pretty close to center.  Ball flight a little high would probably want my old std x100s.  But atwtf in would have thought + something, but these felt nice.

Surprised std length for me with wtf 37" felt that good, is there a benefit to a shorter iron, more performance
