I have been playing golf since I was 16, and had never had a hole-in-one. The past few years I have come very close on several occasions, but no luck with getting one to fall. A couple of weeks ago I was looking in the garage for a new sleeve of balls to bring to the round. I had an unopened dozen Titleist Pro V1s that I won several years at a scramble. I don't usually play the Pro V1, a prefer the Pro V1x or the Tour Soft. But I grabbed two sleeves to use this month. On March 13th, I eagled the 3rd hole at Glen Dornoch Waterway Golf Club and on March 25th I had my first hole-in-one on the par-3 7th hole at Aberdeen Country Club in Loris, South Carolina. If I had known that dozen Pro V1s was going to produce 2 eagles i would have used them much sooner. Anyway, if you've been playing for 20, 30, 40 or even 50 years and don't have an ace, don't give up. It could happen on your next par 3.
