The boys and I finally got our reservation at Sweeten’s Cove and we were set for a great day but little did I know how great that day would be. A little Titleist back story, I had decided to get some new clubs so I got fitted, saying goodbye to my cally Rogues for Titleist T200’s. I got the call they were in but unfortunately the clubs that were delivered were right handed and I’m left handed. The company reordered but I assumed I’d be playing Sweeten’s Cove with my Callys. I called the day before ours golf outing and sure enough, my new clubs were in.
We get to the course and on the 1st round, we get to number 9, a par 3 roughly 132 yards. I pull out my brand new 9 iron, swing away and the ball takes flight toward the pin. The green is elevated so we don’t see it land but Hunter says “ I heard it hit the pin” He and Zack hop in the cart and race up the hill. Wally and I head up the hill and we begin to hear Zack and Hunter losing their minds because my Titleist ball, struck by the 1st swing of my Titleist T-200 9 iron, was in the cup for my first ever hole on one!
I reassured my wife that the purchase of the new Titleist Irons were worth it.
