We had our family vacation in Sandestin, Florida this year, and my brother and I played Baytowne Golf Club. We arrive at #14 (par 3) which is the hole closest to the beach. Our condo actually had a partial view of the ocean and a partial view of hole #14. I wish the rest of the family could have seen it, but they were at the beach. It was 160 yard, 7-iron shot tracking the water line with little fade, and I lost sight of the ball thinking it didn't make it to the green. My brother thought it got there, but he is as blind as I am. He hits, then we head down to the green. There was a couple pedestrians who had stopped and were waving and pointing. I thought they were signaling that my ball went into the water which was protecting the green so I went to look by the water line. Then I heard my brother say "Dude, what ball are you hitting?". The feeling was surreal, and I will never forget it. We hugged it out and cheered, then broke out the camera, haha!
