I have a Titleist 913D3 with a Fujikura Motore Speeder VC7.2 Tour Spec. I ordered this driver as a 44.75" length and a D4 swingweight. I'm interested in shortening it 1/2 an inch to be played at 44.25" length (shortening from the butt of the shaft). I heard some people say that the general rule is that every 1/2 inch is going to lower the swingweight by 2 points. I currently have a 11g blue weight on the driver head. Some people said that 2 swingweight points is about 4 grams. So does that mean I would have to purchase a 14g black weight for the driver head in order to get the swingweight back up to at least D3 after I shorten the driver length by 1/2 an inch? And also, does the shaft get stiffer? I heard that the shaft flex won't be affected too much, if at all, from only 1/2 inch cut at the butt end of the shaft. Thanks
