Well - Scottie didn't need the entire 10 stroke lead to win the Tour Championship, but the starting strokes were required to take home the trophy. Colin Morikawa actually put together a better four round score but started too far behind to catch up. In the end, Scottie Scheffler did what he needed to do and played some awesome golf for the win. It looked a little scary near the end of the front nine after a shank out of the bunker, but true to form, Scottie followed up a pair of bogies with a bunch of birdies and an eagle ! Wow ! Another win for the Titleist ProV1 and 7 wins for Scottie this season (including the Gold Medal). I would say he has earned Player of the Year ! What do you think ???

No question he will get Player of the Year. Had he tanked and fallen way off at East Lake it would have created a bit of a debate with Xander’s two majors but with his win, it sealed the deal. It will be interesting to see if he can sustain the high performance play for multiple years. Only time will tell. He definitely has the mentality for it as he really isn’t money driven. We have seen guys like Watson, Norman, Couples, etc. have two or three dominant years but only a couple of guys I know that have had career long dominance.

I agree, Scottie is definitely player of the year & he will be at top for many years to come.

He goes about his business & is unflappable. Great to watch!
