I was wondering if anyone knows why it takes so long to get new wedges. I placed an order through my club back near the end of January for two new SM9's and today I got the word that the estimated delivery would be May 3. I do not understand why custom clubs should take over three months to manufacture. Is it a parts issue, labour issue, or just a volume issue where the focus is on supplying the big retailers before custom orders :( I was truly hoping to have the new clubs in the bag for my first round this year, and given I am in Ontario I was pretty sure that would happen. Alas - this is not to be ! Am I alone or are other experiencing similar delivery issues ?

    You are definitely not alone.
It took 6 wks to get my new T100s’s and 3 month for the new U505 driving iron.
A friend of mine ordered clubs in Jan and was quoted beginning of May delivery.
Then on the other hand I know someone who orders a TSI 2 driver with a custom shaft, and he got it in 10 days.
A lot of industries are having supply chain issues and the only thing you can do is Hope!

Wedge orders in January were advertised as "pre-release orders" as the actual release date for builds and off-the-shelf availability was not until much later. Its probably not really fair to include all that time in your assessment. Then you have to factor in how many pre-release orders they received while also building store inventory and that would have created a significant backlog. Hopefully when you get them they meet your expectations and you enjoy them until the next models come out.

Barry... Alas - It is unfortunate that the lead times are so long, but we want custom and we want Titleist so I guess the wait is worth it in the end !

When I ordered two SM9s, I was told by a reliable source that worked for titleist down here, that it would take eight weeks because of the shafts that I choose. Checked on them two weeks into the order and found out it would be June because of a shortage of the heads. You just never know where the shortage might be in the build when your order gets there, shafts, grips, heads. Guess the stars have to all be in alignment. Patience is the name of the game with ALL manufacturers. My fitter is on top of his game and ordered the shafts from Titleist and took the heads I needed off his in stock clubs, set them to my specs and I am playing with them. Where there is a will, there is a way and a great Titleist certified fitter.
  6. Same for me. I was told 8 weeks on a custom order thru Golf Galaxy. I went through GG instead of Vokey direct, cause they offered free shipping.
  7. I had ordered T100 irons with a Project X 6.5 shaft in late November 2021 and I just heard that because of supply chain issues it'll be arriving in May. Hopefully we'll be able to get them sooner rather than later.

The wedges have arrived ! Time to register them and update my profile with the new clubs. I put the new grips on when I got them home and look forward to getting out to test them early this coming week :)
