TT family. I have had a reservation at Cabot Links/Cliffs for a while now. Since air travel to Canada from the US is now possible, I have booked my flight. Getting to Halifax around 1PM on October 14. Playing Cliffs on Friday, Links on Saturday and travel back on Sunday. My other players have all dropped out so before changing my reservation from 4 to 1, just wanted to see if anyone here wanted to join me? Three nights and two rounds of golf. Casual play from the middle tees for me. If interested, email me at 2vinsons@cox.net so I can tell Cabot to change my reservation to each additional player’s name. You will need to contact them to set up your own deposit.

Dale... What a great move to put it out there and see if any of our TT members were looking to go. I too plan on going there some day. It is one of the few that still remain on my bucket list. Hope you find someone that wants to join up. If not - there is little doubt you will make friends with whoever the resort pairs you up with. Hopefully the weather in October at the Cliffs is nice and you get to enjoy a warmish sunny day !

I have a few days before I need to firm up with Cabot so let me know. Room for 3 players as I am the only one making the pilgrimage from San Diego. Great rates as its the end of their season. Check their website for info.

Dale, you in for a real treat. I had the same caddie for two days and his name was Don, 70 years old and had caddied on the Canadian tour. Knew the courses like the back of his hand. Great sense of humor and a big help. Recommend him, if you can get him. Lots of eagles all over the cliffs. He may have retired by now, but he loved what he was doing. You have to try the turkey sandwiches outside the gate at the deli, if it is still there.

I was there in October and the weather can get dicey. Out of 4 days I was there in October, the weather was good 2 of them.
One day was tolerable, the 4th day was 30mph with intermittent rain thru out the round. Toughest round of golf I have ever played. But hey....I was at Cabot Links! Enjoy your journey.....both courses are fantastic!

Let us know how it goes!

Thanks guys. Appreciate the comments and glad you had a good time on your trips. I am aware of travel, food, weather, and other things related to Cabot. At this point I am just asking for interested people that want to join in on the trip. I will be fine traveling alone and playing with whomever I get matched up with but thought it would be fun to see a few other TT loyalists that can't get to Pinehurst or are just looking to get out and play. Could be a few TT swag items coming along on the trip.
  8. Sounds like a great trip. Have fun.

I have a time already booked. I need to convert it out from under my personal reservation so I am not responsible for all four spots. I need names and emails of anyone wanting me to tell Cabot to change from me to them. I will copy those people on the message to Cabot and then they can work directly with each person.

No and very bummed about it. Weather was pretty good those days. I was flying on WestJet and they cancelled my flights about 4 weeks ago. They tried to reschedule me but it would have added two days to the trip that I could not get away from work and was going to give me almost a full day layover in Toronto and instead of getting to Halifax mid-day with the ability to drive to the resort before dark, was going to get me in late at night where I would have to make the drive in the dark. I went ahead and cancelled, fully refundable but disappointed to miss it again. Probably will make reservations for 2022 early next year. Thanks for checking in. I'm not going to give up, even if I have to wait for a formal Team Titleist outing there some day.

DT: I played these courses in the fall before the Cliffs opened to the public in the spring. Loved the Cliffs, fell in love with the layout and the surrounding beauty. Liked the links course but only got to play fourteen holes because my ride had a flight to catch in Halifax and we had to leave. The Cliffs is definitely my favorite of the two courses but highly recommend going there. A buck list destination. We were guests of FootJoy and Global Golf Magazine.
