Hoping that one of the concierges can offer guidance on loft adjustment of the 718 T-MB. I have the 4 iron that I currently use to complement my 5-PW set of AP2's. (T100's are on order... please send soon)

I was hoping to have the loft adjusted on the T-MB a degree or two down to just give it a slightly lower launch... not looking for much, just a little lower and more penetrating. I contemplated replacing it but I really like this club.

I had asked one club builder to adjust it for me but they were nervous about clamping it due to the construction of the club. Does the T-MB require any special type of clamping for bending? Should I be concerned about this or would it be necessary to send back to Titleist for adjustment?

Any guidance is appreciated. Thank you!

You are going to LOVE your T100s!!

As for bending, perhaps go to a Golf Town and ask a Manager if they can reach out to Titleist for advice on proper bending. May save you time and shipping to have ready to go for spring.

When I had one of my earlier sets of clubs adjusted it was by a Titleist approved fitter / club builder. He told me at the time that there were specific limits to what a builder would normally attempt. The big thing to remember is that if anyone other than the Titleist factory does it, you may be out of luck should it break during the bending process.

Sorry Travis, just a TT member but I do play a full set of 718 T-MB's. The club is cast and hollow with tungsten inserts and the face is welded on. There was likely a concern about clamping into the face to bend the hosel and breaking the weld on the face. The technology is designed around high launch so maybe you should consider a lower lofted U500 or add the 4 iron to your T100 order. If not, I am sure you can find someone to try and bend up to 2 degrees but if it breaks, you will have to find a used replacement as am am sure you know, the T-MB is no longer in production. Good luck.

I agree with Dale. They are supposed to be high launching. Sell it and buy a utility iron.

you CAN bend the t-mbs, but not a lot. they really don't move very well. maybe a degree, two would be pushing it IMO
