What’s everyone running for a simulator set up? I’m in the process of converting my garage into a simulator.

My garage is about 14ft wide, 20ft deep and ceilings are 9ft high. From what I’ve read 9ft ceilings will be plenty room to swing.

Where is everyone getting there equipment from? I’d like to build it myself.

I built my framing for the impact screen myself - easier to customize to the space I had avail in the basement. Went with Foresight GCQuad and FSX2020. Was looking more for accuracy than video gaming and we are al righties in our house but there are less expensive options to be sure. A friend of mine installed an Uneekor EYEXO and is super happy with that system as well. Screen and netting purchased from Par2Pro from Edmonton. Hitting and stance mat from Fiberbuilt. We use the sim all the time.

Highly recommend Par2Pro for both a source of equipment but also design advice. Also check out golfsimulator.com - a wealth of info with many design ideas on all budgets.

I don't have a simulator but I have measured mine out with dreams of some day rigging something up. My biggest issue could be the ceiling height. I would imagine that your 9 foot ceiling will be good, but before you do too much, I suggest you try to swing your longest club to see if it works. With me standing just over 6 feet, I would be concerned bout swinging a 45 inch driver and not hitting the ceiling. Also - I have a garage door opener that is mounted on the ceiling. That really eliminates the ability to swing. I would have to get the wall mount opener so as to eliminate the chain drive running along the ceiling.
Looking forward to hearing about your progress :)

I am currently building a sim in my garage. I'm awaiting a sports screen which is my hold back. It's been 3 weeks since I ordered it and should be getting it next week. I am attaching my impact screen to it so it can roll up and away so I can still park a car in the garage.

My garage is 17 feet wide, 22 feet long, 10 feet 7 inches tall so its perfect for me as a 6ft guy. I went with a Flightscope X2 Elite. I golf with right and left handed people so a Foresight option or Skytrack would get annoying during play. You cannot putt on an X2 Elite and older but you can set the software to "Auto" putt or manually input how many putts you think you would do from the distance of your ball to the hole.

The Flightscope gives accurate ball and club head data so I will be using this to improve my game as well.

I got a lot of information off the golf simulator forums, very helpful guys over there.
