Left Dash Pro V1X alternate suggestion

    I went through a Titleist virtual ball fitting and the gentleman was great. We talked about my game and the current ball I was using. As we talked his recommendation was the Left Dash Pro V1X. One of the reasons why was because of my height 6’6” I am a high spin player due to being taller with a steeper angle of descent. I also get a fairly high ball for that as well. I absolutely love the left dash, but in the past few days started to wonder, with the higher angle of attack and ball flight why was the alternative recommendation a standard Pro V1X vs the regular Pro V1X? With the Pro V1X being more penetrating am I getting penalized with that ball and my higher AoA?

    Interesting thoughts. I'm a little shorter than you, 6'5", and was thinking about trying out the Left Dash. I've played the Pro V1x since 2013-ish. I've always struggled with long game spin and while I've tried the 2021 Pro V1x and really like it, it seems to spin more for me than prior generations.

    Maybe I'll give the Left Dash a try. A couple of extra bucks isn't going to kill me.

    The left dash (using Trackman indoors) decreased my spin by 300 vs the new Pro V1. Did not have the Pro V1x to test. My Ball speed with the Left Dash was only 3 mph more. My carry yardage was 10 yards longer with the Left Dash. I think the carry distance is more accurate, plus in the Northeast we don't get a huge amount of roll. I was straighter with the ProV1, mainly due to it spun more.

    There are three considerations to every Titleist Ball; Flight, Spin and Feel. The ProV1x flies highest with ProV1x Left Dash slightly lower and ProV1 slightly lower than left dash. However, left dash is firmest feel with ProV1 being softest feel and X being in between. Spin wise the ProV1x is highest with left dash lowest and ProV1 in between.

    Take this information and you can quickly figure out which one or two balls might be best for your game. Hope this helped!

    if you look at testing #'s with he prov1 and v1X, they are almost identicle....the X launches jus a bit different, but peak height and distance are almost the same....

    have you thought about AVX? its a softer feel but flies just as long as Left dash and lauches quite a bit lower.

    try AVx i mean it may not fit you,but it will give you a premium feel while also having the added benefits of decreasing that nagging spin. I would highly recommend this as its used to lower spin,and thus you will gain more yards.
